    120hz setting on 60hz tv


    Hi, when i go to 4k tv details it tells me that my tv (lg55um7400plb) supports native 1080p at 120fps and i can select 120hz refresh rate and the screen displays properly. The problem i am having is my tv specs say its only 60hz. Should the xbox not revert
    me to 60hz if my tv does not support 120hz? I am confused by this. Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

    No. your TV display needs to support 120hz to get 120hz from the Xbox,

    your TV is limited to 60hz, so that all you'll get, unless you upgrade your TV to one that a true 120hz display.

    There's no possible way to get a 60hz display to run at 120hz.

    Hi,

    It's because your TV isn't 120Hz. TV's with true 120Hz support have HDMI 2.1, your TV is 2.0b. The console may be mistaking this TV's Frame Interpolation as a 120Hz mode, but it isn't.

    There's no way to get 120Hz on that TV. And, even if you could, it would be horrible without Variable Refresh Rate tech.

    your tv has 120hz smooth motion, meaning the panel is not actually 120hz but the software smooths out the video, the tv is actually 60hz.

    Dufful googling vsync will clear things up for you.... The standard refresh rate is 60hz using a 60hz or a 120hz. Xb1 uses 60 hz and wther u use 120hz or a common 60hz tv it doesnt matter screen tearing in that instance is not the tvs fault.

    xb1' images is failing to vsync before being projected
