    Hi,

    I have purchased a gaming monitor -
    https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/pc-monitors/pc-monitors/samsung-lc32jg56qquxen-quad-hd-32-curved-led-gaming-monitor-dark-silver-10204696-pdt.html     to use with my Xbox One X. The spec's say - Quad HD 2560 x 1440p with HDMI 2.0 port's with a refresh
    rate up to 144hz. Upon setting the monitor settings to 120hz I cannot change my Xbox settings to run at 1440p at 120hz as it's not supported. It auto changes it to 1080p at 120hz. The cable I use is HDMI 2.0 which is brand new so I am not sure why my Xbox
    can't run this? I'm not IT tech savvy but with what I have for my Xbox I thought it would be able to run these settings. Any help will be much appreciated.

    Xbox doesn't have a 1440p 60FPS option; can't use 1080p or 1440p HDR on xbox

    I just tried to change it to 1440p 60hz, but it says this resolution isn't supported.

    1080p is available to me in 120hz or in 60hz

    4k is available to me in 120hz or in 60hz

    But,1440p is only available in 120hz?

    Xbox One X on the LG C9 Oled TV doesn’t use HDR for resolutions other than 4K

    I’m unable to play at 1440p with HDR, that was my goal (1440p@120Hz).

    Error on xb1x selecting 4k

    The Xbox One X supports 120hz only at 1440p and 1080p resolutions. It does not support 120hz at 4k. So unless your TV or monitor supports 1440p resolution (many don't), you will only get 1080p when selecting 120hz.

    Its important to note in your manual if it actually supports 120hz

    Being 144hz doesnt mean it supports 120hz at 1440p

    It could support 1440p qt odd ranges or 144 or 60hz
