120fps with VRR with this monitor on Xbox series x?

Discus and support 120fps with VRR with this monitor on Xbox series x? in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; I’m thinking of buying the MSI Optix G273 monitor from Costco. Can anyone confirm if it’ll allow me to play Halo Infinite on Xbox Series X with 120fps... Discussion in 'XboX Insiders' started by /u/Commercial_Medium_95, Dec 11, 2021.

Will I be able to play on my Series X at 1080p 120fps VRR with this monitor?

So the 1080p 120fps will work with that monitor, but VRR will not ?

I need hdmi 2.1 for vrr? I cant use the free sync?

    Hello,

VRR is supported via HDMI 2.1. The Xbox One X is the only console that has HDMI 2.1. Xbox One S has HDMI 2.0. This Fall 2020 the new Xbox Series X will also support HDMI 2.1 features like VRR, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and up to 120fps support.

Will I be able to play on my Series X at 1080p 120fps VRR with this monitor?

it will work fine including vrr, you don't need hdmi 2.0/2.1 for 1080p 120hz vrr.

that monitor is also tested to work with series x and ps5.

Xbox Series X at 4k 120fps can only be used through HDMI 2.1. From what I can tell, your monitor only has HDMI 2.0.

    Will this run 120fps?

Yep, in compatible games that monitor can do 1080p at 120FPS with a Series X, as confirmed in this RTINGS review: -

I would shop around though, cos there may be better options for Xbox use at a similar price.
