  1. 120 hz not recognized on 144hz monitor

I recently received an xbox one x and bought the Dell S2719dgf for it. When i went into settings i found no 120hz setting when on 2560 x 1440p. Upon further research, many others have been experiencing the same problem. This is a problem on Xbox's end.
I was just wondering if there is a fix coming soon because Xbox has been aware of this problem for at least 5 months now based on other articles. Thanks

    :)

Sorry to hear that didn't fix the issue for you but there might be some other ways to get it working. Usually with the console updates there should be some info on fixes but i'm not aware of anything in relation to this issue unfortunately. What resolution
are you able to use 120hz with?

Remember not all monitors support console.resolutions

They are meant for pc cards which use software to make up for it limited support

Most people.would opt for 4k tvs as its will turn out more fps

120 hz not recognized on 144hz monitor

    Hi,

Are you connected to the monitors HDMI 2 port? This is the port that supports up to 144Hz as it's an HDMI 2.0 port.

120 hz not recognized on 144hz monitor

As mentioned by one of the Ambassador's in this thread, it may not be possible to use certain display settings when using PC monitors with the console. I would recommend using 1440p resolution and 60hz refresh rate for now as it will still provide you
with a smooth display (at least until the next console update where there might hopefully be a 'fix' for this known issue included in it). Check back with the forums regularly for any updates on the problem and if you do manage to find a solution please let
us know. Thank you for your patience and i'm sorry there wasn't any definitive answer to your question at this point in time. Hope things will be sorted out for you as soon as possible!🙂🤞

    Happy Gaming!

120 hz not recognized on 144hz monitor

    Hi,

You will need to go to your Xbox Settings > Display & Sound > Video Output > Video fidelity & overscan > Where it says Display 'Overrides' change it to 'HDMI'. Now press the B button once to go back to the previous screen and where it says 'Display' you will
see drop down boxes for 'Resolution' and 'Refresh rate'. Change the Resolution to 1440p. Under 'Refresh rate' you will be able to select 120hz.

    Happy Gaming!
