  1. 120 GB HDD Storage Issue

I have a 120 gb hard drive, for a Xbox 360 Slim, that recently stopped working properly. Both the Xbox and the hard drive has worked perfectly for the past 2 years when all of a sudden my console froze while playing a game downloaded to the hard drive. I
reset the console to find out that there were no profiles available to sign in. I went to storage and noticed that the console still shows that there is a hard drive in and that the hard drive still has about 38 GB of free space available, but it can not read
what is on the hard drive. All the games, profiles, demos, etc, show 0 GB next to them but it still shows that I used about 60 GB on the hard drive. The problem still persists even when I try the HDD in another console. I tried blowing on the hard drive and
turning on and off the console to no prevail.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

Once you've formatted it as a 16gb disc then there is no way back from that I'm afraid.

As voteDC said, you cannot do anything now. It will stay as a 16GB drive now, even if you format it.

You'll need to buy a new one, and also make sure if it an official transfer cable as the third-party ones tend to make it into a 16GB drive.

    120 GB HDD Storage Issue

There are no official 120 gb hard drives for the Slim. So the one you have would be a knock off. So more than likely it's an issue with that hard drive, but since it's not official no one here would be able to help you with it.

  5. Thanks for the reply. I was unaware that a 120 gb hard drive for the slim was unofficial, but now I know the only official hard drives for the slim is the 250 gb and the 320 gb.
