12 months of xbox live promo

My Xbox live membership is expiring soon, and I have a promo on my dashboard that states that I can get 12 months for $39.99. When I try to purchase is, however, the price is listed as $59.99. Is there any way to get it at the advertised price? Support sent
me here because they couldn't answer it.

@Gotthestones Sometime I will see this too and notice that the system that show on your dashboard promotions are often delayed due to some sort of tech issue with your network or missing update this can cause a delayed or the system didn't refresh so promotions
for xbox live or even sales and special are expired but youre still seeing the old promotion often I find that refreshing the dashboard by using Dashboard refresh button Left Trigger Right Trigger and Y button will refresh your dashboard for next time
if it is known promotion you can definitely check with xbox customer support to see if they can find any current promotion.
