12 Month Xbox Live Gold bought from Gamestop "not active"

When I input the code it tells me to wait 24 hours and go back to the retailer.

So I went back to Gamestop and the clerk told me to call Microsoft, so I call Microsoft and the rep tells me the store needs to activate it, I call the store and the assistant manager assured me I have to contact Microsoft and have them reissue a code.

I'm tired of the back and forth, what can I do to get access to Live Gold?

take the card back to the retailer along with your proof of purchase and ask them to activate it.

Hi so im trying to get a game from games with gold but it tells to join ultimate which my ultimate expired a couple weeks ago but i bought the 12 month xbox live gold thing but its not letting me get the free games and telling me to join ultimate or buy gold

When did you buy the 12 months Live Gold? Was it 4 months ago? I only ask as Live Gold bought whilst a GP Ultimate is active automatically changes the Gold to UGP...so 12 months Gold becomes 4 months UGP (based on price). If not, then please ignore me...just that I've seen a few recently who weren't aware Gold gets changed if a GPU is active and wondered why they had no Gold

EDIT: and now its telling me on the Xbox.com site that i don't have a gold membership when i just bought a 12 month from gamestop about a month ago.

i have the same problem... i bought xbox Live gold 12 months... Gold is active, i can download the game with gold, but i Can't stay in party chat, says that i don't have the gold, but is not true cause is active... support don't have me a solution...
