    I recently bought an Xbox one after having been an Xbox 360 gold member since 2008, when I bought the Xbox one, I had to obviously buy Xbox gold. I couldn't afford to buy the Xbox one and to buy 12 months from the Xbox store as I had been by $15 short. I
    decided to buy it from a local resident whom had purchased a 12 Month from a retail store, it was a 12MONTH+1MONTH Titan fall Xbox live card with the back having the silver part stating (Scratch with a coin). I then set up my Xbox one and tried activating
    the prepaid code to find that the card hadn't been activated. Called the person, he then called the retail outlet, retail outlet stated to solve this issue through Xbox support/Microsoft as this usually happens and they will handle this situation. He told
    me this and said he couldn't help me anymore and if I were to call back, he would not answer as I would be on blocked service as it was a transaction completed. Called Xbox support 3 times after having being terminated 3 times, their attitude was disgusting
    stating that they could not care how I bought it from a private source, it was not their business to care outside of their Xbox store. They terminated the call 3 times throughout the span of today mind you
    waiting 45 minute holding times per call. I told them I wanted to speak with the supervisor to understand why they were going about this in a disgusting manner, he decided to give me the same speech and terminated the call.

    Unbelievable service at its best, the sad thing is I've known people whom have had purchased cards that were deemed to be stolen and xbox support has given them the activation, thank you very much for the appalling service after having recommended so many people
    to xbox and having been a gold member since 2008 and having an xbox original since 2004 to have to come across what I went through today. Now I know how unlikely I would continue with this service.

  2. Can't reedem my XBox Live 12 months membership

    Whenever I try to redeem my 12 months membership it gives me this error.

    If you're that hard up on cash maybe you should buy more important things.

    Also, you're stupid and bought a card from a random guy with no guarantee that it was a legit card. I'm sure the guy stole the card from the store (which is easy to do) and didn't actually buy it and activated it. That way he can sell it to dumb people.

    You deserve what you got. Stop trying to say the service is bad because they won't deal with your stupid decision.

    From the sounds of things, you purchased this card from a private seller who claims to have purchased the card from a retailer. If the card hasn't been activated, then it is the responsibility of the retailer to activate it, so long as the purchase was legitimate.
    You must also take into account the nature of buying these items from a private seller and the likelihood that the product may be fake and/or obtained illegally. This would mean that the retailer wouldn't activate the card for you, as it was never actually
    purchased. Unfortunately, I don't believe there's much that Microsoft Support can do about this issue for you, as the ball lies in the court of the retailer from which the card was purchased.

    usually the events tend to start at midnight friday into sat and the free gold membership is exactly that it means you should be able to play in online games lobbies such as mw3 etc for a Ltd time and hopefully you will then consider getting gold all the
    time. gold memberships can be brought as a "card" from your local game retailer and are in 3 month,6 month and 12 month slots {prices vary} but if you or a parent has a credit card and is willing to register it on your account then you can also just buy 1
    months memberships, 3 month,6 month and 12 month etc via xbox.com or over the phone at xbox customer services. WE AS AMBASSADORS CANNOT DO THIS FOR YOU CONTACT XBOX CUSTOMER SUPPORT DIRECTLY.
