    12 month code on 1 month recurring subscription.


    If I was to add a 12 month code to my account that already has a recurring 1 month subscription do I need to cancel the auto renew for 1 month subscription or does it just stop charging until the 12 months is up.

    Xbox live gold Prepaid code

    Using prepaid codes won't charge you for Gold like a recurring subscription. It would simply give you 1 Month of Xbox Live.

    The 12 months will add on to what ever you already have on your account and will stop charging until the 12 months is up.

    There's not a 12 month subscription available. I've only seen 1 month subscription through Xbox, but there are 3-month prepaid codes available.

    Xbox no longer offers a 12 month subscription, so you would have to purchase either the 1 month or 3 month that is available or purchase a prepaid code which is available in 12 month.

    You're current subscription won't change, but when you add the 12 months it will be converted to Ultimate as well, but the conversion rate is based off of price rather than time. 12 months of Gold is equal to 4 months of Ultimate. So if you add it now, you'll have Ultimate until 07/2023. If you want to use the full 12 months, hold onto the code and make sure recurring billing is turned off. Then add the 12 month Gold after your current subscription ends. If you still want Ultimate at that time, buy another month of Ultimate and it will convert the full 12 months of Gold to Ultimate.
