110 V XBOX to convert to 220 V

    we just got our X box from the US, it wouldnt work locally in India, please advice.

    Can i use a Xbox bought in US in India?

    you can play games and xbox, all you need for a console is a adapter or a voltage convertor or a reducer that converts 220 to 110 v

    I have a 220 volt xbox one with a 220 volt brick (power adapter cord from xbox) in a 110 volt country. I use a transformator that changes 110 v to 220 v. This worked fine for the xbox 360. I read online it is better to attach a 110volt brick to the 220 volt
    xbox one, is this true?

    thanks all, appreciate the help. I also had contact with the Microsoft helpdesk, and they say I do need to use a converter. According to them there are 220 v Xbox consoles and 110 xbox consoles. I would prefer the new power brick to be the answer to go for...
    the back of the xbox itself says 220 volt though.

    the problem is solved now.

    the area where i'm living uses an 220 V AC, so I'm using a power converter (from 220V to 110) wich has not enough power (50 VA, the XBOX needs at least 120 VA to work correctly),

    i changed it with another one more powerful (500 VA) and every thing is working properly

    I have bought an used xbox 360 S from japan. It's power supply input is required 100 v-127 v

    You say: "I bought step down transformer 220 v 50 Hz to 100 V, 20 W"

    The converter is rated at 20 Watts. The Xbox 360 console (depending on the model) however draws up to 180Watts.

    You need to get a stepdown converter that is able to sustain 200 Watts, and then the console will work. Your current 20 Watt converter is "too weak" to power the Xbox 360.
