10th Anniversary cars -- how to keep the livery?

I'm hoping there's a simple solution to this. When I go to Buy Cars, I can see the 10th anniversary cars, and they're listed as free. So far, so good. But how do I add them to my garage without losing the black and green anniversary liveries they come with?
When I select one of these cars and press A, I get the dialog for selecting a pre-made livery or painting the car. I don't want to do either; I want it to have the anniversary livery. If I press B, it just takes me back to the previous screen, canceling the
buy process.

What am I missing?

Haven't owned Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack after redeeming the gift card code for Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 2 .

Forza Horizon 2 Deluxe - 10th Anniversary Edition

Forza Horizon 2 Ultimate - 10th Anniversary Edition

Forza Horizon 2 Standard - 10th Anniversary Edition

Xbox One Day One Edition, collector's item from Microsoft.

That's pretty cool. I will probably pre-order one right away, for the simple fact that in 10 years when they celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Xbox One, I'll get a Xbox One 10th Anniversary edition console like those on Xbox 360 did lol

Pretty sure you hit the Y button for colors. The default factory one is the special 10 year paint.

Vinyls can be part of a livery, yes. A livery is the combination of vinyl/paint applied to a car.

They've either got a livery purchased from the storefront applied to the car or a tuning set up purchased from the storefront applied to the car (or both)

Cars can only be shared if the livery and tuning set up applied to the car are the owners own work.

Is your buddy online when playing? Can he select non-DLC cars? I have found that I cannot access anything from the 10th Anniversary pack whilst offline, this may apply to all DLC. If this is the case, he will get a "marketplace error" message when clicking
on the car
