I think iw got lazy or the engine is too old. You can't tell me after playing bf4 and it looking so good that COD couldn't have done better.

 

cod looks like the weakest title on x1. all i see is people making excuses as to why we should not get high def games. quit bowing down to microsoft and the devs and demand more from them. i love my console but i want games to be at there best when they
are released, not rushed to release to compete with the competitions release date.

 

Ok so lets see what developers with more time can do in say 6 months time. I mean games usually take 2-3 years to make so an additional 6 months should allow for adjustments with new drivers etc.

Pretty sure we'll see plenty of improvements as games not rushed for release window start to hit the shelves.

End of the day this is all first world problems and people waste way to much time worrying about it haha.

 

yuor right blitz, just grinds my gears that people bow down to this and think its ok.

You are talking about a CONSOLE. The primary purpose of a console is entertainment - "fun".

That can be done without mandating a resolution. Higher texture quality, more polygons, larger environments
- all of these things make an impact on the gameplay experience and are independent of screen resolution.

 

you took what i said out of context. setting the standard will not diminish the fun whatsoever. im willing to give them the time they need to reach this goal. you cant tell me that having extra time to get the game and its resolution on this level is going
to make them remove the fun element.

That depends on what the final experience is with a constraint in place.

I would rather more zombies at 720p than less at 1080p. That's the kind of hand tying dictating resolution could result in.

it will increase time to market. Longer development cycles means less money to developers for the same title. That's not acceptable to those who want to, I don't know... eat?

 

i understand what you are saying muBetilE, but for me, delaying a game just so they add some polish to the game is not worth it.

Watch Dogs as an example, i will be pissed if they delayed the game just to make it look prettier, but if they are to be believed, then the delay is because they feel like they can do better with the gameplay, and i can accept that.
