This.

Admins do your thing and lock-stick these kinds of thread. The horse is now a grease spot on the pavement all-be-it a very large grease spot.

2. And this, readers, is exactly how TV makers get people to pretend resolution makes a difference.

.

Yeah, 1080p is clear, but so is 720p. The "p" makes a world of difference. Want to bet 1080i looks worse than 720p? It does!

.

Next up, some of you will be whining the XB1 can't do 4k, because your new TV can. :eyes rolling out of their sockets:

Does the fact that Dead Rising 3 runs at 720p diminish the amount of fun I'm having while playing it? The answer is no.

People put far too much focus on resolution and frame rates and not enough focus on games being fun... which is at their core what they are supposed to do.
Want to bet 1080i looks worse than 720p? It does!
Depends on what sort of game you are playing.

720p is better for displaying quicker scenes due to being able to display frames per second better. 1080i however would be better for slower paced games where you are likely to linger for a greater time on an image

its not about the fun, its about setting astandard as this is the next gen, i think forza is best looking this gen. i loive that game always loved forza games. i think dead rising shows the consoles weekness in some spots where the land will slowly filter
in. its still a great game and i loved it aswell. but do believe it should have had more time in the oven

OP is clueless.....It's funny my pc's GTX-680 is more powerful than my X1 or PS4 and we're talking 1 generation old. The devs that have games running on all platforms will be fine. it's the devs that only did last gen consoles that will have problems IMO.
Sure you can have 1080P/60fps. doesn't mean the games worth squat graphically and as most players with common sense know its gameplay over graphics...

i was perfectly happy with the way Dead Rising 3 turned out and had a lot of fun with it and felt it showed the X1's strength in being able to produce a large and glorious open world, i would have been less impressed if it was 1080p@60fps at the cost of
having less zombies on the screen or have to look at loading screens every time i entered a building. and Ryse:Son of Rome is one of the best looking games so far and is at 900p, IMHO i still look at Ryse and get wowed by the way it looks, didn't have that
feeling with Tomb Raider1080p :DE...

Well you just proved that you have no ideal what your talking about. IMO DR3 is the most impressive "new gen" game out for the XB1 or PS4. Thousand of zombies on screen, giant map with no load times, co-op, etc.. The newest hardware is not just about better
graphics but making games a more complete experience, bigger maps, smarter AI, no loading screens, etc. If they would have forced 1080P DR3 would have had to greatly reduce the number of zombies added loading zones, etc. and we would have had a better looking
DR2... no thanks.

dead rising was awesome game but had issues that would have been rectified with longer dev time. its not like forza is a slouch either its by far the best next gen game and its full 1080p 60fps. turn 10 quality is above and beyond what customers expect and
all devs should follow their lead

Do you have any clue what you’re talking about? Do you think Forza looks better then Ryse? Is Forza technically more impressive than DR3? Forcing 1080p on developers would be a giant mistake.

I'm pretty sure that most devs already want to put out the game they can, but I think trying to force a graphical standard would only lead to a lower quality gameplay, Dead Rising 3, as stated, is a prime example of that, I would gladly sacrifice graphics
for better gameplay.

1080p

Exactly. You know COD could have run at 1080P if they lowered texture quality, cut back on sound effects, added fog, etc. Would that have made it a better game because it was 1080P. Well force a graphical standard and that will start happening and for what
a few pixel that you cant notice unless you see them side by side.

im not saying cut things im saying give them more time to develope so that we dont have to suffer. forza imo is by far the best looking and runnign nxt gen game. it wouldnt be a mistake by any means as they would just require more time and it would benfit
us gamers as the end product would be better. its simple give the devs more time and stop compete with same day releases of games. utilize all the consoles power and we will gladly wait while you perfect the games.
