Yes I have I use to own an XB1 and I played Forza 5. I never said it was not a good game I just said IMO thats why its 1080p 60fps. Chill bro are you on MS's pay roll.

UFC is 1080p, NBA 2K 14 is 1080p, NBA Live is 1080p ... so no. not all games will be 720p.

I'm going to be honest guys. These 3rd party devs suck compared to devs back in the days. Developers in the old days use to make games that the console makers themselves couldn't match graphically and gameplay wise. Activision used to make the best looking
and playing games on the Atari 2600 than Atari themselves did. And I mean the difference was HUGE. Seems like something is off with these devs. I think alot of it has to do with them using API's rather than hitting the hardware directly. I don't think the
vast majority of those working in dev houses even know what that means.

It's the difference between old car manufactures back in the day whose workers actually put together stuff by hand and knew the cars inside and out versus today where the guys push a few buttons and have robotics do most the work.

But that also translates in that today's average car probably could not be put together by hand as they are much more complex. Same with the electrician. NO TV repair guy is going to start replacing chips on boards and such. They'll just swap the entire
board. Reminds me of something I just did this week. My TV went on the blink. A repairman would have cost me 800 bucks or more to fix it. Had I swapped the board myself it was going to cost me 500-700 bucks for the board. I got info online that it was more
than likely a particular chip. Did a couple of voltage checks and it was looking more and more like that chip. Ordered 3 chips , just in case , for 65 cents a piece and 5 bucks shipping. Soldered in on. TV fixed.

Devs will eventually get games up to snuff when they see people aren't interested in shovelware. I don't know but just by going on a few forums I don't think Tomb Raider is flying off the shelves for Xbox ONE. If this is the case believe me the developers
WILL take notice. The next game out doesn't want to be Tomb Raider.

 

@wages, no i dont work for ms. i find it odd that you say you owned forza but i didnt see any acheivements for it

Be interesting if a developer posted on here or someone connected to the games industry. No one knows the strict rules put on developers by Microsoft etc. strict rules regards time development and finances etc. we don't know if they have to sign some enclosure
before developing for Microsoft. The pressures are huge, if a dev is locked into some agreement with Microsoft then the dev can hardly speak out and say this is why it doesn't run at this resolution on the One. Microsoft are huge if they wanted to sue a developer
they could. So I'm very doubtful it's the devs fault, like some one said there's no point they putting out a inferior version on one console and not the other. So it's either a hardware fault or a fault with the dev and Microsoft.

 

i honestly beleive it to be microsoft and thats why my petition is mounted at them, they are in a release date war. we dont want it to be rushed we want high qaulity games that devs take time with to use the console to its full potential

I agree Forza is a good looking game but not great, some background and foreground are low res or just lacking detail and look bland, dont get me started on the cardboard boxes

Then that would be false advertisement as Battlefield 4 does not run at 1080p.

 

So do Xbox one and Xbox 360 cases though my mass effect 3 case says 1080p but I know that game ain't 1080p

 

Think 1080p needs to be the minimum, I paid a pretty penny for next Gen and I'm getting last gen at the minute.

Upscaling leaves the images soft and is easily noticeable in things like COD where images are soft and text isn't clear. Take a look at similar stuff in Forza and the difference is clear.

720p is a 1/4 of the pixels of 1080p and really isn't suitable for the 42" plus TV's a lot of us will be using.

 

I've never cared about this 1080p debate, my decision to buy and game or not is not based on what game is running at. If it was I'd be buying games like Battlefield 4 etc on my PC and not either console.

It's been mentioned by me and others countless times, take Ryse: Son of Rome, in my opinion easily the best looking game on XB1, better looking than the 1080p games so why is there such demand for the highest resolutions possible?

Obviously loads are chomping at the bit for Titanfall, will this game succeed or fail because of the resolution it runs at? of course not, as long as the frame rate doesn't drop to a snails pace then who cares.

For the people that really care about resolutions and must be able to say ... "I've have the best looking game possible" .... Don't invest your money in a console, invest it in a decent gaming PC.
