1080p TV - Do I need to enable Supersampling?

I received my Xbox One X today and I have it connected to a 1080p TV. I understand that it allows for Supersampling of 4K assets to 1080p, but I'm not clear whether I need to do anything to enable that. Will my compatible games automatically do that, or
do I have to specify something to download those 4K assets and enable supersampling?

    :)

No ability to allow 3d even though I have a 3d tv...

I can't 3d to work either. I changed from auto to HDMI, had to manually set resolution to 1080p, which finally allowed me to check the "enable 3d" box, however my TV says invalid signal and when I go back to settings the 3d enable box is unchecked again.
TV works fine in 3d with all other sources (ps3, Samsun bluray player, Netflix). TV is 65" 3d dlp

  4. 1080p TV - Do I need to enable Supersampling?

Yeah I've been trying to figure out the same thing until 4K HDR 1ms monitors arrive next year. I haven't received a single download update for any of the enhanced games I have. I've even checked the file sizes for Halo 5, Rise of
the Tomb Raider and WW2, and all of mine are lower (so I'm assuming I haven't downloaded the Xbox One X patches for those games). Anyone have any idea how or what to do?

Xbox One X issue with Sony WE755

I actually buyed an 49WE755 in the belief that I could enjoy Supersampling 1080p and HDR. However, it seems that HDR for this TV is not supported. I guess it has something to do with HDCP since the WE755 does only support HDCP 1.4. I don't know whether this
could be patched with a Firmware update.

Has anyone else experience with the Full-HD / HDR TVs from Sony?

Xbox One X for Red Dead Redemption 2 on a 1080P display?

the x still plays it in 4k, on a 1080p display it supersamples, so you are still getting the best picture plus the performance

Epson 5040UB : Your TV setup doesn't support HDR10 for gaming. Games won't be shown in HDR

Yep. I think there will be a lot of dissapointed people when they find out their 4K HDR TV won't play Xbox One 4K games because they don't have a full 18Gig HDMI pipe.

I expected this to be a difficult answer to find, but your post told me all I need to know right away. I knew I shouldn't have fallen for the hype of this new standard. Caveat emptor.
Though, the supersampling is amazing. I was first frustrated to not get HDR, but the details are just amazing with the supersampling. You can check it out.

Also, maybe we'll get a fix soon for 1080P HDR !
