    1080p jagged edges

So I have a 1920x1080 resolution TV, and while playing a game like GTA 5 or BF4, all the edges are jaggedy and it looks pretty terrible. I feel like there are white lines that sort of appear and disappear too on objects. Is there any way to fix this and
make it look more smooth or is that just the way its gonna be? When I turn it down to like 1680x1050 it looks a bit better to be honest, but then you have the black borders at the top and bottom. It would be nice if it looked like that but full screen. Any
    advice is great, thanks!

    :)

  2. Do games on Xbox actually look better on a full HD (1080p) tv?

I would get a full 1080p Samsung HDTV becuase I have a sanyo plasma TV and I have my Xbox 360 e set on expanded,1080p,display discovery is on,and I have rgb.set I played all my games on my E and have jagged edges flashing areas etc including white colored
places they get the worst / I use a rocketfish HDMI cable but still get jagged edges on all my games im very confused should I get a new HDMI cable or a new HDTV. And sorry for the bad crammed

    Xbox 360 jagged edges normal?

Is it the xbox or my tv? I see jagged edges in games on xbox 360, it usually is on the edges of tables if the game has a table (like WWE 13) or sometimes stands (in Fifa 13), so is it my xbox that causes the jagged edges or my tv?

It sounds to me like its just the console itself. The 360 isn't powerful and usually has poor anti-aliasing (which is why you see the the jaggy lines on the ends of characters/buildings/any thing in the game really.) Most games output to 720p and when using
a 1080p resolution you'll definitely be able to see the difference in resolution. There isn't really a way to modify the graphics of the games on consoles. What you see if pretty much what you're gonna get unless the games have anti-aliasing options (BF3 did
on PS3, I don't think it does on 360 though.)
