  1. 1080p HDTV vs. 1920x1080 Monitor

I don't have an Xbox one yet, but plan on getting one in a month, so I'm trying to decide what to play it on. I want to get the most out of the Xbone's 1080p capabilities. I was planning on playing on a 1920x1080 resolution Samsung monitor. How do I compare
a monitor to a 1080p HDTV? Will my visuals on this monitor be worse, as good, or better than if i was on said HDTV?

    :)

  3. 1920x1080 resolution problem (doesn't give option on settings)

I know 1080p is 1920x1080. but it looks the same as 720p. I was just curious because it gives you the options for all the other besides 1920x1080. My friend has the same monitor and he has the option to select it.

    2k display xbox series X

So what options do I have? Only 1080p
    Hi,

A resolution of 1080P is 1920x1080, while 1440P is 2560x1440. Since your display doesn't support 1440P, the highest resolution would be 1080P.

To get 1440P would require a PC gaming monitor that supports that resolution.

    Gaming on a PC Monitor

I use a monitor, and the VGA on my LG monitor looks better than the HDMI on my LG HDTV. Both full HD and 22". Make sure your monitor is high res (720p or 1080p). I actually bought my monitor for £110 and it's brilliant, who says gaming has to be expensive.
