    Hi so I have a Samsung 27 inch G5 odyssey, I have an active adapter so I can run the display port cable from the Xbox series X to my monitor, but it will only do 1080p @ 120hz and 1440p @ 60hz? On the monitor I have tried it on display port version 1.2 and 1.1 but can't seem to get it to run at 1440p @ 120hz??

    Will a 1080p 165hz monitor with an hdmi 1.4 be able to run 120fps from a xbox series s?

    Error on xb1x selecting 4k

    The Xbox One X supports 120hz only at 1440p and 1080p resolutions. It does not support 120hz at 4k. So unless your TV or monitor supports 1440p resolution (many don't), you will only get 1080p when selecting 120hz.

    The 120Hz option is only with the console set to 1080P and has been connected to a television that supports 120Hz.
