100htz TV

Hi all,

I have recently bought a SAMSUNG UE40H5500 to use with my xbox one. it runs at 100htz refresh rate.



Now I have a few questions,

How does a TV running at 100htz effect a game at 30fps (GTA V for example)?

I have put the TV into game mode, does this limit the tv htz to what the game wants it to run at?

Is the TV ok for gaming?

Samsung LED tv help needed. Display and Sound.

Yes I have the 40" one. Don't use the 100htz setting or gaming to me it seems worse its brill for tv though. And don't use full contrast it's best about 80 and back light on setting 5. As for sound I use a Samsung cinema surround sound system it's excellent
for keeping the neighbours up at night LOL.

Higher the HTZ, the better the picture quality. Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure HTZ doesn't affect the FPS of a game.

The last question you answered yourself, "TV into game mode"

 

Just means the TV has a better refresh rate to reduce motion blur. Nothing to do with game frame rates. It will be fine, bear in mind unless your an uber online player the "game" setting may not actually give you the best graphical fidelity so just
experiment between the two settings To see which one you prefer. I have a Samsung and use mine in normal mode.
