100 percent disk space

    I use my laptop for playing games and i can't seem to notice that my disk space is always at 100 percent when I start up my laptop. This always affects my performance at games because it always freezes them. It's so bad that google will refuse to load.

    Do you mean disk usage?

    After you load your laptop, can your press CTRL-ALT-DEL to open up Task Manager, click on the Performance tab and then screenshot it and upload, so we can see what is going on. If you could also liste the specs of your laptop as well as what version of Windows you are running please?

    I would also, from Task Manager, click on the Startup tab and see what is enabled for startup. It does sound as if your system is loading up a lot of programs which would bog it down, even after it's finished starting.

    The other major question I would ask is: Which anti-virus/security program do you use? A lot of these programs do a lot of background work which grinds a system to a halt...my Mum's laptop used to take forever to open anything as the AV program was using all the resources...soon as that was uninstalled, things worked properly again. So, yeah, if you use anything other than the built-in WIndows Defender and Firewall, then try uninstalling.

    Hello MarkGutierrez1, do not know which operating system you have, Win 10 or 11, but first try to check if your PC has the latest version of the system installed, also scan with the antivirus you have and then a defrag, SFC and most importantly, a CHKDSK.

    This will eliminate any duplicate files in the system and organize the clusters of your HD.
