Ok well I understand.......... when and if he responds I will be sure to help if he needs any. As I am much more able to do so. I just got a chance to look at your step by step process and noticed that is misleading. That is assuming they are not using a
consumer class router of their own.

Example: Comcast--->Linksys--->Xbox. You understand that when putting your own router inline the "linksys" would just nat the natted IP given from the comcast router. So you would have a 10.0.0.0/24 natted to a 192.168.1.0/24. So you may not even be able
reserve the IP of the xbox you would be reserving the IP of the linksys then putting that in the DMZ. Then you would have to do the same on the linksys. He could be rooting around in his comcast modem/router looking for an IP which is not even arping because
that is not the xbox's gateway. Rat hole #1

So for example 192.168.1.3 (xbox) would have to go to 192.168.1.1(linksys) then that next hop would be to 10.0.0.3(natted IP given from the comcast modem/router) which it's next hop would be 10.0.0.1(comcast nat) which its next hop would be the WAN IP. You
would have to forward the ports to each gateway. Now putting it in the DMZ gives it no protection and it is not recommended. But if you go ahead with that idea you still have to forward the ports in the linksys router. Or put that in the DMZ again. Rat hole#2

Say he does follow the step by step process. Reserves the IP (as if your instructions give someone a good idea of how to associate the MAC address of the device to the IP address) There are many ways you could have told him to locate the IP and MAC address
you basically just told him to "go fish" lol. Then putting it in the DMZ is not always the solution. Some routers do not have a true DMZ. And if they are a true DMZ that means your basically telling him to take his xbox and put it on the proverbial side walk
of the internet. No protection whatsoever. No wonder MS was hit so hard the answer is " just put it in the DMZ!" The solution is forwarding the specific ports to the specific device properly. That way the router actually serves some sort of purpose other then
providing internet. Alice in Wonderland hole #3

Please I am not trying to be rude I am just not happy with the company and your solutions. And it wouldn't have bothered me "your solutions/rat holes" If you didn't personally single me out. I didn't mention you by name I just mentioned what I knew to be
true and the most reliable answer. K.I.S.S. Keep It Stupid Simple. I told him to reboot, you told him check his equipment and were about to send him to neverland where he would never grow from being a boy lol! No seriously the customer is always right and
even if they are wrong you find a way to tell them that without saying. You just came right at his stuff even better during the MS fiasco over the weekend.

Also the "They simply aren't right now." comment again is assuming you know what his problem was he never responded. You know what they say about assuming. You make an assout of u and me. Assuming is something you should try and get out of the habit of it
can lead to more issues. I used to do it myself until I learned the hard way. Now I am not assuming but I predict that his issue is not only resolved but it was MS and not his equipment. I could go on and list supporting factors to my theory but I think I
have listed enough already in the wealth of information I spilled out.

I am having a problem with this packet loss too. 100% packet loss
  6. TheRazorEnigma Win User

Is it possible to get packet loss that exceeds 100%?

100% packet loss is the maximum that is possible. However, occasionally it is possible that there may be a bug causing the packet loss to appear more than 100%, but this is uncommon. The maximum is 100%.

    100% packet loss HELP!

Routers firewall is really basic it wouldn't block any Xbox traffic. Even is all the ports were not properly forwarded it still wouldn't have anything to do with ICMP. That's real basic and always allowed.
