    100% packet loss and extremely laggy online gaming


    I just got my xbox series x (came from xbox one x).

    Call of duty is barely playable due to latency spikes.

    When I check my network connection I get:

    Download 152.23
    Upload 43.5
    Latency 39ms
    packet Loss 100%

    MTU 1480

    Wireless strength 100%

    I have netgear orbi (I am about 15 feet away from it)

    Gigabit internet.

    DNS is set to cloudflare (1.1.1.1 ' 1.0.0.1) I have tried google before switching to cloudflare dns

    NAT Type Open

    IPv4

    5GHz

    I never had this issue with my one x and I have had this same setup for years.

    Contacted ISP they said the ports are okay ( I sent them the list of ports that should be open)

    Any ideas on what to try?

    Hi MasterFuel!

    To further isolate the issue, you could try to switch your network from wireless to wired connection. You may check your router configuration like its Firewall and Perimeter network as well. If possible connect your console directly to your modem not your router.

    Try to power cycle your console as well when doing some troubleshooting steps on your network devices. Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec until it's turned off. Unplug the power supply for a minute. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

    Hi, my connection isn’t great while I play games like (fifa22) and very laggy.. my upload & download speed is really good.. as well as everything else but my packet loss is at 100%. So when I test the multiplayer connection the message comes up that I have high packet loss

    Is it possible to get packet loss that exceeds 100%?

    100% packet loss is the maximum that is possible. However, occasionally it is possible that there may be a bug causing the packet loss to appear more than 100%, but this is uncommon. The maximum is 100%.
