100 Hz tv

Hello, just bought an Xbox one, and I've decided i wanted a new tv, purely for gaming. I've found two that i'm quite interested in, one of which is £220, which has a frame rate of 60 Hz, however I found another one which is £240, and has 100 Hz. Just wondering
if it's worth paying the little extra for 100 Hz, or to play it safe and get 60 Hz. I've heard a lot about 100 Hz giving input lag, however the TV page says its okay for gaming. The link below is the 100 Hz tv. Any advice on what i should get

How do you change from 50hz to 60hz?

I had this yesterday - and thank you for this reply, I will try that.

But since you test both 50 Hz and 60 Hz when changing display settings, it's strange you have to do this.

No problem with flicker etc ? - since power is 50 Hz here?

I played well over 100 games with this lcd tv and never encountered this.

 

As far as I understand it 100hz is going to give you less motion blur. As for input lag unless your an uber leet Cod player with the twitch fibres of a jack rabbit I wouldn't worry about that too much. My TV is 100hz and I haven't noticed any input delay.
Other opinions may differ.

 

The reduced motion blur can be an unpleasant aesthetic for some, especially if you don't like the look of the recent Hobbit films.

 

Iive watched both on blu ray and really don't see any difference to any other blu ray movies I have watched. Maybe I need specsavers!

 

The 48fps version is only available in select cinemas. It looks terrible

I asked my brother to do this while I was at football. Apologies for that.. Genchy, any idea of 100hz is actually better than 60hz when it comes to gaming, or is that just me being picky?

 

100hz will greatly reduce motion blur which is only a good thing...

Well for me anyway since it gives me head aches.

 

I prefer it for gaming over my last TV which was 60hz. I would spend the extra £20. As I said I have never noticed any input lag on games like Titanfall where it supposed to be crucial to a player with mad skills, good job I don't have any which is probably
why I don't notice!

 

I have a old Toshiba 32" and it has a frame rate of 60htz and im happy with it and im a techo and cant stand faults with anything
