100% Download error

Spent the last week downloading halo, now its at 100% and keeps giving me this error code 0x80070780. Now if i cancel the update its going to delete the whole game

Hey there. Problem i see is that if it is giving an error code, you may have to re download as something has glitched. If this is Master Chief Collection, i can see the frustration in possibly having to do it again as thats not a small file at all

best i can suggest at the moment is hard reset of system to see if that clears it up. Next followed by a soft factory reset (keep games and apps) to see if that fixes it. Sorry you got so close only to leave it hanging like that

There's two solutions to this issue I have found to work.

First of all, try to use the 'wsreset' command:

1. Open the start menu search function

2. Search for wsreset.exe

3. It will show a green Windows Store command called 'wsreset' - run this as Administrator

If that does not allow the update download to complete, try the following:

1. Navigate to the following directory (remember to change the "user_name" in bold to your own PC username!):

C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

2. Delete the LocalCache folder and its contents.

3. Restart your PC.

4. Now open the Microsoft Store (do not do it through Game Pass app), find Halo MCC and it will say "Install" again. Click
that. It will tell you that Halo Reach and Halo CE have successfully installed quite quickly.

5. Still in the Microsoft Store app, click into Downloads and Updates and update the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It will say that it is downloading the most recent 1.67gb update, again will complete quickly.

6. Open Game Pass. Enjoy.

Hi There,

Your best bet might be to simply delete the game and start over. It might be that something has become corrupted and you'll keep getting that error until you uninstall and reinstall the game.

Sorry should’ve specified i was on pc, dont believe a soft factory reset is possible on pc. Also sadly i had the game completely downloaded, it was some 1.7 gb update that broke it
