~10 year old disciplinary action

~10 years ago my young dumb self used a program to modify my gamerscore. I was caught, and my gamerscore was reset, along with all the games I had played being unable to unlock anything. (Games show unlocked achievements but no score)

Now, with backwards compatible games becoming more numerous, I'd like to play those games again, but not being able to get achievements is rather disheartening.

I don't want any of the old gamerscore back, but I'd like to be able to unlock achievements for those games if I play them again.

Xbox phone support said to post here. They couldn't see history of disciplinary action on their end. They said to ask for a ranger here?

Gamerscore resets are permanent. In order to re-earn those achievements you would have to create a new account.

As long as you haven't had disciplinary action on your account in the past year you can. (The cheater zone counts)

Any violation of the Code of Conduct and ToS would result in further disciplinary action.
