10$ MS card points not working (cant use)

i redeemed a code onto my profile over the website and then it wouldnt let me use the points

Microsft is phasing out Points in Windows 8

I have half price ms points cards that I have not added to my Xbox yet. I assume that there will be a transition period where your points will be converted into MS cash. The PS3 has cards that you can buy to purchase content, free of game companies knowing/storing/losing credit card numbers. There are Wii points, but I've barely bothered with them. I hope Xbox rewards still works, firing out MS cash instead of points every month.

 

Buying Microsoft Points

Can I use any type of Gift Cards to purchase the Microsoft Points? For example, I pay a Gift Card for $10, so that I can buy 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99 for 800 MS Points) into my account?

 

Youll have to call support. Just have the card and code ready as well as the transaction on the website ready.

Unfortunately, phone support has a habit of doing that. It's saddening because it seems like they'll misinform customers to get out of helping them.

They are the only ones who can help here. This is an account related issue and us forum goers don't have access to your account in any way. Nor do Xbox Ambassadors.

 

Did. You try in your console?

Does the country of the code match your account region if not that would be why

Please check commerce.Microsoft.com to see if its listed and of your account region

If it doesn't match then you can only match the region to use it
