1 week suspension for 1st time offense

I noticed upon viewing my history that the date at the top of of said communication was dated in october, communication which I had not seen until today. As far as I was aware, upon research yesterday, was that a first time offense would be dealt a 24hour
suspension. The fact I have to wait a week to chat with friends I game with frequently because of someone elses toxic playstyle which I called out, is ridiculous. I have reported many a player with said behaviour, only to find them continuously being paired
with me in pvp, which is where these reports stem from, which is why now I tend to try my best to avoid pvp in general. I try not report messages as people have a right to voice their own opinions, and can probably count on one hand the amount of messages
I've reported, behaviour counts as actions and I will report on this. Quite frankly, if you don't like the way someone has said something, there is a block option. As there is no way of stopping internet trolls in message boards, why should I be silenced in
voicing my opinion when I don't report theirs, only their actions....

I don't expect any feedback on this from xbox as I have noticed they are not interested in their community.

I have been with xbox since 2004 and been live for 4 years, although I have had console/connection/accessory issues, I have stuck with the franchise as I am a loyal consumer, but judging by actions over 2 to 3 years my loyalty is dwindling. I hope for a
response, but I am not sure I will get one.

Suspended from sending Messages

It says you will be notified by email, and by message when you connect to your profile again.

Also states that the suspension will be lifted at approx the same time frame that you were suspended. (Example: Suspended at 8am, you would then become un-suspended at 8am on a future date)

I believe communication suspensions time frames depend on the severity and on how many times you have received a suspension. Seeing as your original message shows enforcement on 8/10/14 & 4/6/16. It could be a week.

Dont quote me on this, but I believe the scheduling for suspensions was.

-First TIme Offense: 1 Day.

-Second Time Offense: 1 Week.

-Third Time Offense: 1 Month / Ban

It also states that Xbox Live Support will be unable to remove the suspension until its lifted date.

 

So Much Action

If the ban was a week long that means it wasn't your first offense. Time limits on suspensions increase either with the severity of the issue or with the number of times you've been suspended. I'd say that with a week long suspension this is probably your
3rd offense.

 

1 reputation has nothing to do with enforcement

That is the likelyhood if you will be matched with them

Enforcement reports are investigates but as with police it never instant

If you get msged with something you don't like it's simple ignore block and report

That's all you are allowed to do

And no it doesn't matter who started the fight everyone who breaks the rules will.be punished it doesn't matter what console you are on

Your only option is to goto https://enforcement.xbox.com and file.a case review but since you already admitted you broke the rules it won't matter

And no what you spent has no bearing nor does it make.you immune to the rules

 

The length of a suspension isn't just based on whether you have been suspended before or not.

The severity of the offence is also a factor.

If an offence is severe enough it's possible to get permanently banned for a first offence.

Any report filed has to be investigated which takes time & other than a thank you message that is rarely sent out you will never be told the result of any report you file.

Reporting someone does not mean you will not get matched with them again in online multiplayer.

You would need to block someone.This would lessen the chances of being matched with them again.

There is no sure fire way of never being matched with someone again unless you avoid public multiplayer all together.

someone perma banned. And I did mention blocking in my comment. What I was getting at was freedom of speech, hence why I report actions eg. sabotage gameplay, afk players waiting for rewards etc etc. If someone uses profanity or racism toward me, I have big
enough shoulders and a good understanding of who I am to not take offence, trolls will be trolls, reporting someone on words that offended you is soft in my eyes, considering todays online society. I am open to discussion on this, but freedom of speech is
freedom of speech.

you keep trying to push your agenda, I'm trying to point out a problem with your system on how punishment is dealt out. I've dealt with abuse from others via messaging in a different way, rather than having a sensitive ear, which is a huge problem with society.
I'll mark this as answered as I see I'm getting ambassadors mad, just find it a bit pathetic on xbox side.
