    (1)PC-->((3)router-->(4)XBOX works fine

    (1)PC-->(2)router-->(3)router-->(4)XBOX (SHOWS as OFFLINE)

how do i config the #2 router to work

(I can remember how i got #3 to work)

I can see and can use my Xbox 360 in the list of devices on my windows 8 computer, I can [PLAY TO] it just fine.

I need another computer in my office so i added a Linksys WRT54G hard wired router to split the internet connection. after its hooked up, i have an internet connection but the XBOX360 device goes offline. plug the rj45 back into my computer directly its
online again. so this means my router in not configured correctly.

    I read the post on Linksys WRT54G thread ( http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/...dware/02-routers/linksys/f/3090/t/366527.aspx )

there is so much stuff in that post. What exactly do i need to do to my router?

    Thanks

    :)

Phone number proof disconnecting my xbox :S

    Okay here do this:

    1: settings> system> storage> A on hard drive> profiles> delete profile only.

2: go back to Hard drive> Y on hard drive> clear cache 3x> turn off console.

3: Go to router> unplug router for 30 sec> plug in router> wait another 30 sec.

4: go back to console> turn on console> download profile.

Let me know if this works for ya okay?

Is it me, or is Halo 4 really difficult?

I've beaten all Halo games on Legendary. This game is in the upper tier in terms of difficulty for sure. In my opinion, the order of difficulty in the campaigns goes:

    Halo 2 > Halo 1 > Halo 4 > Reach > 3 > ODST

You said you started on Halo 3, so that probably explains it. The past 3 games have been ridiculously easy. Halo 4 is not an easy game, especially due to the lack of plasma pistols so you can't noob combo enemies. Forerunner is the hardest level.

    Hey there Archon!

I'm a bit confused by your networking set up. Do you think you could break down this set up in more detail, to help us get a better understanding of your situation.

Let's make it simple and take it from the start.

What is the make and model of your modem?

What is the make and model of the router that terminates to your modem?

Do you use more than one router in this set up? If so, make and model.

Do you use ICS for your computer, to share it's Internet connection with your console?

    For example:

    Cable/DSL ---- Modem (make & model) ---- Router (make & model) ---- Computer/ICS ---- Xbox

how do i config the #2 WRT54G router to work

I've been told i need to "bridging mode" or "pass through" for the HARDWIRED lynksys WRT54G to work.

I can find wirless bridging mode tuts, but no hardwired ones

What's the model number of your D-Link device?

Are both router's (?) operating in "router" mode? If so, that's a big NO NO!

You have to configure your Linksys as a wireless access point (AP), by disable the DHCP server and segment it's LAN from your Netgear's, to be outside of the DHCP server on your Netgear's dynamically assigned IP range.

If you use a wired solution, why don't you just use a layer 2 switch?

without using any info of the other devices on my network nah nah a boo boo (I knew it was possible)

Hi everyone with the same problem,

This is how you fix the problem of BRIDGING, pass-through, connecting two routers.

search the internet for you router you are trying to bridge

    mine was a Linksys WRT54G

find out how to shut off the DHCP server (mine was one check-box on the main page)

plug all RJ45's into the LAN ports on the back (DO NOT USE THE WAN PORT)

    stupid forums blu

    THATS it your done.
