1 Month sub billed at end of month?

Hi, I talked with an M$ support because I was billed at the end of the subscription period when I cancelled auto renew. She/He told me 1 month subscriptions are always billed at the end of the subscription period (end of the month). Can anyone confirm this
because It sounds like bull to me. Why are only 1 month subscription billed this way :/

Also they charged an expired debit card to add insult.

Switching gold payment methods

So I just got an Xbox one and signed up directly through the website for live via my credit card. I haven't been billed for it yet as the first month is free. I've decided I wanted to remove my credit card and use a 12 month gold live card to sign up for
gold.

If I cancel my gold sub and add this 12 month sub card, will that 12 month sub start at the end of the 30 days free, or right away?

Also I received a 14 day free trial of live with my console. If I add that and the 12 month sub card, will I effectively get 12 1/2 months of service before I had to resub?

If I buy 4000 microsoft points for COD Elite. Will I be billed now or at the end of the month when I get billed for monthly Xbox Live.?

be billed for the next 12 months today. At the end of the membership term, if automatic renewal is on or if you are subscribed to a monthly plan, you will be billed for the next membership period to make sure you don't lose access to the great features of

Well I spoke with M$ support again quoting that ^ and as it turned out a payment failed in feb or mar or whatever and it was settled today (i checked my bank statement and their story is covered). So the first support i talked to had no idea what she/he
was talking about.

just add the months remaining from both subs. for example, 2 months for gold and 5 for gamepass, and 1 month for ultimate that you are buying, is a total of 8 month. so, your ultimate sub will ends until those 8 months are gone.

the day one XBL gold is only for a 12 month sub that will extend your current sub by 12 months.. it will start at the end of your current billing cycle... and end after 12 months...Not sure if you need to pause your current payment option..

the XBL Gold Day one will include a character for KI, a commemorative hard card w/ case

I have a 12 month sub to games with gold and im thinking to join ultimate but im wondering wil i still have to pay the the 15 dollar monthly sub or will the 12 months be converted to ultimate

The 12 months you have left on your account will be converted to ultimate. Once you hit the end of the pre-paid term you would then move to the monthly billing sub price if you select auto-renewal.
