1.5 click

Is it possible to perform the 1.5 click in minesweeper on the Windows 8 version? Playing without this technique really slows me down. I've tried all the settings, but nothing seems to help. Please help!

I would go by what Spencer mentioned as an Xbox with a meaningful upgrade being a Xbox 1.5.

 

That's not a technique I use, so I can't answer for certain off the top of my head. I'll check with the team and see what I can find out for you.

 

We had to change the way flags are placed to accommodate the move to touch devices. Now a flag is placed on button release, so unfortunately, the 1.5 click won't work anymore, as it depended on placing a flag on button press.

To help you try and regain some of that speed, you can try chording using the following methods:

1. Double click a number that is satisfied with flags

2. Single tap (on a touch screen) a number that is satisfied with flags

3. Left + right click a number that is satisfied with flags

4. Click the mouse wheel on a number that is satisfied with flags

 

Ok, thank you for that rather disappointing answer, but I really appreciate that you dug into the topic. I guess I'll continue to play minesweeper from a previous windows installation. I've been playing minesweeper for some twenty years. Every now and then
I've learned a new technique that after a certain learning period helped me to set new time records. This new touch friendly version of minesweeper is actually rather amusing, but when you try to play it using the 1.5 click technique it feels like the game
is not responding and that something is wrong. So frustrating. Let me know if you manage to integrate the function in the new minesweeper! A new option for those old school players maybe?
