1.3gb update less than worthless

A few months ago I found a 1.3gb update was required for minecraft.

I ran the update the next day, it took over 4 hours because it kept timing out.

The update locked my user to looking in the same direction. I cannot look up, down, left or right.

IF I open a second user, they have full functionality.

A few weeks later, the game again said I needed a 1.3gb update.

This time I sat there and kept the update running, got it down to 1 hr. and 55 minutes.

Net result; no change. My primary character cannot look anywhere else.

AGAIN a few weeks after that, it called for a 1.3gb update.

This time I bought a network switch, cat5 cable, and paid coworker to come over and crawl under my house to help run the cable to my Xbox to maximize speed.

I ran this update for the third time, still no correction to my character.

And now, once again, the game wants to do a 1.3gb update.

Congratulations microsoft, you have ruined the functionality of the game.

Yes it is true that I can play as player 2 on the game, but that leaves me with half of the screen used by a nonfunctional character, and a diminished view of the world I am working in.

Perhaps I will try again someday, but I have pretty much given up on the Xbox considering this series of events has unfolded. Why should I bother playing a game that was given a bad update, and then wants to regularly download the same flawed update.

Minecraft 1.3GB update

I have already had to run this update twice and both times has resulted in my son not being able to reload his worlds. He has lost hours of building and gotten quite upset. It's now asking him to do it again?? If I don't do the update he can't go online
and create with his friends, if I do do it then he can't reload the worlds again. I have tried removing them to the cloud to download from there but it makes no difference. Can anyone help?

Hey there,

What troubleshooting steps have you tried other than a wired connection? Try
Uninstalling Minecraft from your Xbox One console and reinstall it back on to see if that does the trick.

Sorry to hear about the update trouble! Which Xbox console are you having trouble with the update on? TO check, have you tried removing the game completely and re-downloading it to see if there's any change?
