Yes, the problem is fixed, at least I'm able to log in to mahjong again. Thanks to those who managed to repair this error

 

sorry, it was Jigsaw in my case which didn't work, and now it's working

 

Just logged in again on morning of 15 December. It's all working here again. I reported on the MS Games forum last night that it appeared to have been fixed. But now, after several hours and a reboot, I can confirm this.

Glad that this is now working for you. I am thinking Microsoft has released a fix for this, which would have been as an update on your devices. I have asked to see if this is the case, but still awaiting a response.

No MS or other updates in the past 48 hours, so that is not the reason. More likely they have fixed the problem they originally identified at 'their end' and given us back our earlier full access to our records stored in the Xbox database.

 

Sorry, the problem is back again with Wordament. I cannot log in for about a week now on a Surface Pro 4. Does anyone else have trouble?

 

I am having this same login problem for all of my Xbox apps on Windows 10, including Halo Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike as well as Hitman GO. I have tried everything that has been suggested. This issue is quite annoying.

 

Back for me too as of today, though I am not getting an error code this time. Just can't sign into my Xbox account, either directly or through any of the games. Working fine yesterday. Tried rebooting, but that produced no progress.

 

Correction: I just noticed that the "Can't sign you in at this time" msg is followed by (0x40b).

 

Further correction: I find I can sign into MS Jigsaw, Mahjong, and Taptiles OK. It is just Solitaire and the main Xbox account which won't let me in. The latter is particularly curious, since Jigsaw etc are accepting the same username and password...

 

And today the problem has resolved itself, as mysteriously as it occurred in the first place!

Just like to let you know that there has been problems with the Xbox Live servers, which could be the cause of your problem, about not been able to sign into your games and onto Xbox app.

Thought to put that out there.
