I think I qualify for a free month, I probably lost 30 days in the past year for poor security

MS does give reimbursement. I got reimbursed for 3 or 4 days shortly after TItanfalls Release when Xbox live was only really down for a few hours

You don't get reimbursed. The Terms of Use say they aren't responsible.

 

If you've been down for an entire month on Xbox live in a years time, (720 hrs for 30 days) I would move on to another console or switch to pc gaming. Especially if you need the $9.99 a month of live cost.

The TOS which YOU agreed to when you made your account assures you will get no refund.

 

It's more likely that "poor security" was your own stupid fault, as last time I checked Microsoft wasn't in the habit of leaving their network open to outsiders. It's not called a walled garden for nothing.

 

Xbox servers have never been hacked.

As the others have said,if you lost 30 days in the past year then it's a problem at your end by the sounds of it.

Either way,you ain't getting any compensation.

 

I think the security on the console is superb.

 

Microsoft doesn't reimburse for stupidity.
