0x87e00064 on brand new game installation

Out of seal CODAW and code came up after a few percent (3%), retry installation, same thing after starting from 1%.

Have tried on line and off line installation - Same code at 3%

Have tried uninstall, reboot box, reinstall in every combination possible - Same code at 3%

Returned game to retail outlet and swapped for new (in seal) disc, tried again - Same code at 3%

Have uninstalled other games and reinstalled with no problem which to me indicates it is actually the disc at fault (as per the code) but my retailer is not convinced that 2x in a row out of the seal could result in this.

Made a call to support yesterday and after 30 min discussion, call cut out.

I need resolution for this because, a) I now own a useless piece of plastic with COD graphics on it that I cannot return for the money I paid for it, and b) I still want to play this game!!

At this stage I am close to packing the box up with game and returning for full warrenty replacement. (Console is about a month old).

Black Ops 3/ Installion stopped/ error code 0x87e00064

When i try to re - download BO3 on this new account. It stops at 19% and says Installation stopped. The error code is 0x87e00064

I just cant find a solution.

I'm trying to install The Witcher 3 on my Xbox One (Buy new some years ago) and after 7Go of installation, the installation stops and theres a message with error

0x87E00064
How can I fix this ? I'v installed ten other games before and never happened !

Couldn't find this code in the error code search so had a dig around the forums & in every case the people who have had this issue have had a faulty disc.

The retailer where you bought it from probably has a faulty batch of the game.

I would take it back & get a refund,as long as you have the receipt the retailer has to give you a refund.

 

Appreciate the response but if I return to retailer again I may just get another faulty disc. Is it really possible there is a faulty batch? I asked at the retailer and they have had no other returns to date.

 

It is completely possible that the retailer could have a faulty batch.

To be honest,the retailer is probably not going to admit to having other copies of the game returned.

I'd get a full refund & buy another copy somewhere else.

 

The trouble I will have with that is that software returns are specifically excluded in the terms of sale. It will be a long up hill battle to get the retailer to give me money back on opened software. (I guess they have to assume I am up to no good although
I am just trying to get resolution on this issue)

I may try and do a replacement (again) at a different branch of the same retailer, no idea if they will accept or not. In the mean time, a response from MS would be appreciated.

 

Update: exchanged game (again) and had disc verified in store. Made sure everything wa reset, and was post november update to system. Same problem, 3% and error code.

Last resort now, system reset to factory default settings.

Tried again and guess what?

Now need resolution but no longer any interest in this software. Waste of money and time at this stage.

 

Obviously there is no resolution for this so the console and games are going back for a refund, (thankfully consumer law in NZ allows for the return of defective equipment, however the hours I have spent trying to find a fix are just wasted).

Will put refund money on a PS4 I reckon. Thanks for nothing.

I had problems installing Halo Master Chief. Error always occurs in 27% of the offline installation and replace the disk with another new media 2x. What is happening? Is there a solution to this problem? All 23 other games run normally. I made the steps
of the xbox support, but still failure occurs .

 

Thread continues to be ignored. This place is a waste of time for anything other than the basic troubleshootable problems.

 

It's not being ignored,as I've said,this is more then likely an issue with the copy of the game.

No point in posting the same thing twice.

your only other option is to try the disc on another console,if it installs on that then your console is faulty.

@ B19er,you do realise the xbox isn't made in the U.S.?

 

If the posts above were actually read you would see that I have swapped the game disc and confirmed that the problem is not with the disc.

I came to the conclusion (on my own) that the console was faulty prior to your last post and it has been sent back for repair.

So I stand by my previous comment that this thread has been no help and answers have not been forthcoming about what the issue is.

 

Ok, issue has been resolved. Console was sent away for service and has returned working correctly.

I have a new issue. No service report was included with the returned console and frankly I am a little surprised by this. How would I go about getting a copy so I can have the service history of the unit?
