0x87de0017 Error Code: The following services are experiencing issues:

1. Purchase and Content Coverage

2. Xbox Live Core Services

My system has been down several hours today and all I can find is listed above. No answers or resolutions! For a multi billion dollar company, you should be able to offer better answers and service than this. I can see that this problem isn't affecting everyone.
Please resolve this issue or let us know why you can't.

Menu at the top, in the support menu > Contact Us, find the issue that is closest to the problem and select it, at the bottom of the page is a list of contact us options select contact Microsoft support live chat (there is also an ambassador chat don't select
that one)

In support it says the same.

 

Just started receiving the same error message within the last hour.

 

Why will Microsoft not release an XBOX that will allow you to use third party apps without dependency on XBOX Live services??? I along with thousands of other people are paying money to access Hulu and Netflix that we cannot access because you all cannot
get figure out how to improve your network up time.

I download these apps on Android and Apple platforms and yet when the Play store or iTunes store is down, I can still access downloaded apps perfectly. You all seriously need to firewall one side of the XBOX for third party apps if you are concerned about
security vulnerability. You clearly can do it, you just won't do it.

I encourage everyone with Hulu and Netflix accounts to call those companies and complain like I have. We should not have to depend on Microsofts online services to access 3rd party media that is not being routed from point A to point B through Microsofts
network.

Oh and I do not appreciate Microsoft removing their support numbers from their website during an outage. It says your phone support is currently unavailable but luckily I've had to call so many times I have the number memorized. I pay $60 a year for XBOX
Live services; that includes support!

Microsoft offered no assistance in the matter or a work around. They suggested using a different device to access my apps. Not what I wanted to hear. And yet when I called Hulu to have them open a complaint against Microsoft, they apologized and gave me
my month of service for free because you guys interrupted my viewing experience. THAT IS CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!

I've been an XBOX Live customer for 11 years and am still waiting on someone to provide even the most basic level of support. Haven't seen it yet.

 

Try a hard reset I just recently did so. Unplugged it from outlet then waited a few minutes and sure enough its now working

My question is is Microsoft gonna refund me a day of live I've lost due to this or the premium time I purchased for my world of tanks ....answer I can assure you is no..Microsoft your support and communication with paying customers is terrible

 

no , their not gona compensate you , when you clicked on "i agree" to sign up for live , you agreed they didn't owe you any compensation if the service wasn't available...just as the electric company dosent compensate you when the power is off ...not much
can be done but wait it out ...like the girl said above though , try a hard reset ....

 

They're being DDoS by a script kiddie group.

 

ok this is day tow now. takeing this system back to the story for the full amounte of my money back is starting to look really good.

 

This is getting to the relm of ridiculous as we near the weekend. Some, like myself have regular employment or school during the week and enjoy utilizing our gaming on the weekend we have invested hundreds and even thousands of dollars in. How is it that
the console can clearly get online to connect and even download but loses that connection in a matter of seconds when trying to start an app or game?

I will say that Microsoft has lost someone that has been a customer since the beginning. I've had an original XBOX, I've been through the Red Ring of Death and disc drive failures of the 360, and now the XBOX One that has been vastly underwhelming in both
performance and reliability. This will be the last XBOX I ever own. It's no wonder PS is killing XBOX right now in sales. Not that their network is never down, but they made a gaming machine. Not tried to cram a bunch of useless "entertainment" garbage into
the console, that don't work right half the time anyway just so you can try and take over the entertainment center completely instead of supplying a superior gaming experience.

I was very excited about the backward compatibility that was added, but it appears that has only added more headache to the mix.

 

Still having issues. I can load Netflix and HBO-go, but after two minutes it crashes saying there is an issue. Also bought Black Ops 3 earlier and it did not download right away and never showed up in my games until 2 hours after. Hopefully this is resolved
soon.

 

I'm very disappointed in regards to this entire situation. The same problems arose last year and yet we have not been informed as to what steps were taken to stop it from happening again this year and if any money was invested in it. DDoS attacks as well
as kids trying to screw with the system is not something that's going to stop happening. To invest heavily into a system for something that I do with most of my free time and to find that the company is not taking the appropriate steps to ensure that it can
consistently provide the services that advertises is disappointingly enough not surprising. It's not as though Microsoft is not aware that it's going to be facing these issues, even though it's an external source creating these problems; and yet year after
year at same time the exact same thing still happens and no steps are made to prevent them, and if they are we are not informed of them.
