    Same with me. I was able to login to play Microsoft Solitaire collection, but not Ultimate Word Games. I was even able to login to my xbox account and see my progress there, but when I try and launch it through there this message comes up

    Can't Access MS Ultimate Word Games

    I'm having the same issue...I get error code 0x87DD0005, but when I attempt to look up the code I get the message:

    Sorry! No Support articles were found for "0x87DD0005

    Same problem here in Arizona. No problem signing into Microsoft Solitaire or Microsoft Mahjong; only the Ultimate Word Game.

    I am having the same issue. Don't bother asking Xbox live support. They say that it is a Microsoft issue and give you a Microsoft support link which takes you to the Virtual Agent which is absolutely useless. I have tried all of the classic remedies such
    as uninstalling and rebooting etc. Nothing works. It appears to be a universal issue today. This game repeatedly malfunctions. It has been the worst app that I have ever experienced. Shame that a Microsoft app has so many issues. Especially given that I also
    PAY for my subscription.

    Same error here.

    Problem seems restricted to MUWG. Other games such as Microsoft Mahjong seem OK.

    I've also tried Wordament on my Windows Phone Lumia 950 and I've the same problem as with Ultimate word games on the PC, but Windows Solitaire Collection it's working correctly on the smartphone. Therefore, this problem isn't linked with the windows update
    I've had on my PC.
