Microsoft sure miss something in the last update, console Os or Marketplace website. I hope that they will clear up this mess soon.

 

I'm having the same problem. I am not doing a factory reset. I have 25 games installed....

 

It's happening to me too. I seriously hope it won't require a factory reset to fix.

 

An update came through when I went into standby mode about an hour ago. After restarting, I noticed the interface to the store changed. (Now there are 4 tiles horizontally to select from, with the first one being "Games".) And they broke access to the
store. I always get this code when I try to select games; the other tiles work OK. I can still access games in the store by being sneaky, like Bing searching or the "Find more in the Xbox Store" tile to the right of my Games and Apps. Restarting the system
again (using Restart Now in settings) made no difference.

OK, Microsoft. You broke it, now kindly fix it. You wouldn't want to make it harder for me to buy games, would you?

 

To be more clear, I am able to Bing search any game, and have it pop up in the store with a price tag. I've gone as far as clicking on the "Buy" button for Forza Horizon 2 ($59.99) and seeing the screen with my credit-card info. What I CANNOT do is get
to games in the store through the front door (Store->Games).

So only the updated interface is broken, not anything else like account issues.

Okay this worked for me.

Go to your settings.

go to languages.

Change english to Español.

Change it back to english.

change your country to USA

choose to restart now.

Wait a min. And turn back on.

Im from Ecuador, i have setting my location in EEUU and have this same error code, so i change the location to australia, few minutes later to Canada and it works great for me. its something.

 

It's not just you Northerners having this problem. I'm in Ohio, USA. My system downloaded an update when I put it in standby mode while I went to eat dinner earlier this evening. When I turned it back on, I was greeted with a slightly different interface
to use the store. There are now 4 tiles spread out horizontally, with a Bing search field below them. The Games tile is the first one on the left, and it always gives me that error code. Doing a Restart Now in Settings made no difference. The saving grace
is the Bing search. I can get to any game in the store by searching for it, and even for whole groups of games by simply searching for "games".

Interesting. I am having the same problem, and I will try futzing around with the language or location to see if it helps.

As a workaround, you can Bing search for any game, and that will get you to that game in the store (e.g., "Forza Horizon 2"). You can also search for "games" in Bing, and get to the store with a bunch of games listed, like Action-Adventure category.

This is clearly a major screwup on Microsoft's part. I hope they fix it soon.

 

No. changing my language and country, then changing it back (2 restarts) made no difference. The games tile is just broken for me, period. I'm in Ohio, USA. The other tiles (like TV/Movies) work fine.

Again, a good workaround is to search in Bing for "games". Then you get a few examples in several categories, like "Action/Adventure" and "Racing/Flying". Then you can select the "..." field in the category you want, and get many game tiles to pop up.
The issue is clearly a UI screwup, not an account or locale screwup.

 

This has been happening to me now for about 2 days. I had just loaded the game marketplace the night before with no problem. I properly shut down the console. Meanwhile I had heard about the XBL service issues. After being completely off (instant-on disabled)
for almost a day, the issue was there immediately on the next bootup.

I left it off for the rest of today, while i played with my new ps4, and the error is still there. Looks like I know where my money will be going in the near future. I refuse to buy anything on a console that's not working properly.
