0x80bd0007 child is already member of a family

Hi,

My son has an xbox 360 with all his details etc... when he set up his xbox one it asked to transfer his gamertag (child account) etc... over which he did.

He started playing games but couldn't go online, so I added my profile, following instructions as per xbox one on screen.

My sons profile never shos up so I can add him to the family in order to change his settings!!

I have deleted his account switched off and then re-added his account, switched off and then tried, but it goes througgh the process of adding him (email etc...etc...) but then a message is always popping up.....

'He is a member of a family already, and he must be removed from that family before he can join mine'

This is beginning to really get on my boosoms.

I have seen a few other problems such as this, but no definate answer to solve it (for me at any rate)

This is a really old thread. Please create a new one detailing your issue for more assistance.

Is it possible that he has been added to the system under another adult account? What about if you are currently at the end of a Family Pack? Those could both be reasons that you are having this issue.

 

Like the error message is telling you: if he already is associated with a family, he has to be removed from that "family" before you can add him to the correct one.

So if you have no clue which family he could be accidentally had been added to, you should call the support for assistance on finding this out and having him removed from there.

I'm having this same problem. I contacted Xbox Support but they couldn't help me. Anyone else have any ideas?

 

Well, this is a little unsettling to see that this issue has not been resolved. Especially since we are having this same issue.

 

Yep, it's happened to us too! I've been scrambling around for the past 3 hours, adding/removing accounts and trying to reinstate the family. Despite my best efforts, I have turned to the Forums and my findings are very unsatisfactory! There must be a way
of identifying the family to which I want to remove him from but it's impossible to find so therefore we can't move forward. I want to upgrade his account to be an adult account so that he can spend his redeemed vouchers but we can't. Come on MICROSOFT, this
should not be an issue but it is! What is going on!?!?!

 

Same with my son, ridiculous really!!

Same here Microsoft this is getting extremely frustrating

 

I have 2 sons. I have 2 adult profiles, one for each. Can not login to one of the adult profiles. Can the adult profile I can login to adopt the other child?
