    0x80a30299 WHEN REMOVING ACCOUNT. HELP PLEASE.


    I have an xbox one s. When trying to get into hulu I receive and error code 0x80070490. When I looked up this code the first thing it wants me to do is remove my account from the Xbox and sign back in. When I sign out of my account and then go through the
    settings and select my account for deletion I get error code 0x80a30299. This is where the real problem starts because when looking up the first step to fixing that issue they want you to remove your xbox. Which is exactly what I was trying to do in the first
    place. Basically it's a big circle and I can't win. Please lend me some insight on this matter. I can't use any streaming services at all. Thanks

    So I downloaded this Xbox gamer score program. At the time I didn't know what it did, I thought it would add actual games to my account and not achievements. But anyways, I used it and my profile has alot of 0 achievement games. I did not realize that: A. you were not supposed to do this & B. That it would give me a bunch of 0 achievement games. Can someone please help me?!?! I created an account and everything just to post this one thing.
    *None of the games I want to remove have achievements... Its just that there are so many (600) that I wanna remove them all at once*

    Unfortunately, you cannot delete an account completely. You can just stop using it, but it won't be deleted. From the looks of it, you're not an Xbox LIVE Gold Member, so you won't need to cancel a subscription, but if you need to cancel a subscription to

    Hi Tiffany,

    It’s not possible to create an account/profile with an email address associated to another account. Microsoft doesn’t recycle email addresses, so even if the account was completely closed, the email address would then permanently stay inactive and an account can’t be created with that one.

    Is it possible there was an alias (secondary email address) connected to your son’s account that was being used to access it and sign in?

    Try all potential email address and password combinations for the account that was deleted from the console. What happens when your son tries to sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/account and https://www.xbox.com/?

    I've heard about similar situations, if you are sure the same email address was used then it's best to contact Xbox Support at http://support.xbox.com/contact-us they should be able to see if there are indeed two accounts connected to the same email address and advise on what to do next.

    Is not possible to create a new Microsoft account (email address) and replace the old one

    If your son doesn't remember the previous email, you may need to proceed with the account recovery form:

    Or you could try alternative methods to recover your account here:

    You (or him) can try all the emails you remember or if you had a phone number attached to the account, you can use that too.

    In cases like this no one Microsoft agent can assist you with this process / tell your the specific email / modify or share account details due to privacy and security policies
