0x80820002 error Sorry we can't play disc

yeah.. I mean these "twitching solutions" may work for a few lucky ones but the majorly tried it and had no success, including my self, worth giving it a shot tough if you haven't done it yet who knows... you might just get lucky. Called them again a few
minutes ago just to confirm the patch update release and that I wont have to send my Xbox in and they confirmed it for possibly till tonight. I'll keep calling them through out their shift just to make sure i'm getting the same verified information from everyone
and not just a group of guys with a an opinion.

Help needed ?

Hi guys I bought a xbox one for my son yesterday brand new from game and I have set up everything but when I put forza 5 on it keeps showing (sorry we are unable to play this disc) with error code (0x80820002)
I have done all the updates for the console and even unplugged the xbox and tried again but keeps showing me the same message
Any help would be grateful

@Thiago Alm, could you also ask them to get us more information about the situation? Like, on reddit (is there a thread concering this issue actually? Couldn't find it...) or here on the forums?

FIXED!!! Ok, so I got my replacement console and have just set it all up and it's working as it should. So I would suggest that all of you who are able to, get your console replaced and it should work fine (I'm in the UK by the way)

 

From what I undescended, those of you who got your console in the last 48 hours and have had this issue, the only way to get it working is to get a replacement console.

 

Really!? Wow... well I'm gonna wait till tonight if nothing comes up then I'll guess I'll have to replace it even tough that means waiting weeks for that repair order because I bought mines in the U.S but i'm in Brazil so no luck for me on playing any time
soon if this update doesn't come out... Fingers crossed for tonight I guess

 

I think the update is already out but you can't install it on an already bricked console?

 

Just picked up XB1 #6 from Best Buy this morning...Installing update...the update that bricked my console was 989mb...this one seems to be 780 something mb...I am holding out hope...I will let you all know in a few minutes!

 

Yeah if so i'll try resetting it to factory settings again just for the sake of trying I'm trying to leave sending it in as a last case measure they told me it could take up to 30 days for me to get a new console. I keep asking them "Are you sure i wont
have to send it in and that the update will fix it?" they keep saying yes so I'll give them a chance, if not, oh well 30 days with no fun I guess...

 

MS have been proper *** over all this... very little info given to the customers. I had to find everything out from a 3rd party website and a lot of people on here are getting their info from other users. Not good enough MS!

 

Did you just buy the console recently? If so, I highly suggest going back to the retailer. Best Buy doesn't like me very much right now, but oh well...I paid a lot of money, as we all did in order to PLAY XB1 games, not just have a Netflix/Hulu client!

 

Second update after reboot...this is looking good...this update clocks in at 488mb
