    So I have no internet where I live now. I have set my xbox to "home" but I still cannot play my downloaded games. I go to work to set up my xbox and download the games and updates and to set it to my "home console" but when I go of line my xbox turens
    into a paper weight. HELP

    I can only play the games i payed for if i make my second personal xbox my home xbox!

    Error Code 0x803f9008. It wants me to make this my xbox home but the family console is the xbox home, and because of this i cant play the free evolved or thee GTA V i payed money for on my personal xbox.

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums! Just to clarify, for the error code, did you mean 0x803f9008? If so, it seems that the error code is prompted for when you're offline. If so, I would suggest taking your

    console back Online     or make your console your

    The 1st profile ever signed into the console will automatically be assigned as My Home Xbox.

    You will give a notification on screen on how many switches you have left with your My Home Xbox assignment.

    You can only have 5 switches within a one-year period.

    I did have another Xbox One set as the home Xbox for this account, but it seems to have somehow lost its home Xbox status. I'm not sure when, since I'm usually logged in and just noticed the issue when trying to set my Xbox One X as my home Xbox. Now when
    I check on that Xbox One, it just has the "set as home Xbox" option, which of course fails with the same message.

    Is the console your set as your home Xbox?

    When mine is not set as my home Xbox I typically have to manually update games and apps.

    To use digital games offline you will need to either be connected to Xbox Live or have your console set as the my home xbox. To set your xbox as the my home xbox you need a connection to xbox live. There's no way around this problem except to
    go online or set it as the my home xbox to play offline. And some games will require you to be online for certain things, and that can't be worked around.
