0x803f800b Game launch failure, (Not EA Games)

So for about 3 days I have 32 games out of 39 that refuse to start. They splash on screen then crash. Some of them are gold member rewards and others are

digital downloads. I only own one disk game.

The error code given is 0x803f800b. Have tried a full reset; 10 seconds then off; have tried deleting/re-downloading.

I see there are other posts popping up about Fifa & Battlefield but without answers and I have neither of those games.

So?....

Hi, I downloaded Ryse Son of Rome yesterday and, when I start the game, shows up the error 0x803f800b. Both EA and Gold were renewed two months ago. Anyone can help?

try to power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green "XBOX ONE" animation loading
screen when you power it back up.

Were these games downloaded on an free weekend? or games with gold? this will happen. in the forums in says you're silver, you will need gold to play GamesWithGold games.

Fifa and battlefield are both free download games offered if buy EA access and much still have an ACTIVE subscription to play the game if not you will get the error code you have posted above.

you will need to have gold to play your games (if they were downloaded via games with gold offer.) free weekend or free to play games(for a limited time games, week etc.) you will need to have a digital license/disc to play.

ISirDubstepl, that doesn't make any sense because I am still able to play other games I downloaded through Games With Gold.

If that's the reason, then Microsoft needs to simply say that instead of this arbitrary error code that people need to research and waste time with.

I was replying to Cranskie who was silver when this thread post was posted. having silver membership(free) and you have downloaded games from the games with gold offer they willn't be able to be played, until you have re-activated your gold membership.

this error 0x803f800b is EA access subscription is now expired error message and to play the game you will need to re-active the EA access or buy the game via the store or from a trusted retailer to remain playing the game.

note: so do you have the problem? has your EA access run out etc. knowing what has expired, would help us greatly with resolving your issue.

now the person who made this thread has not replied back, told me if the games were downloaded when he/she had gold.

 

I have had this issue with Earthlock, Warriors Orochi 3, and Tumblestone for approximately a month. My Live Membership did update this month, but the issue started weeks before the time expired. I would appreciate any suggestions so that I may finish these
games.

 

The code mentioned above happens when i downloaded thief iv deleted game and reinstalled still happens.please fix

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue. I am a gold member but several of my DLC games are giving me this code. I am playing on an Xboxone

 

I have this issue aswell for example a numerous free games with gold in my ready to install when I install them it comes up with this error, I've never not had gold membership and why would I need ea access for non ea games what is the point in making games
free with gold if in the end you can't play them anyway, I hope there is some way to fix this as I have many free games that I haven't had chance to finish yet but cant even play them .
