(0x803f8001) when launching Gears of War 2 digital download

Hi there,

I purchased the game tonight as a digital code, entered it on my XBox One, and everything was fine

The game was visible in my games list to download, so after it had completed tried to run it

I was presented with the error code along with the "Do you own this game or app" message.

I thought that maybe I had messed up, so continued to the Microsoft Store to see, and it said the game was installed.

I tried to launch it here, and got the same message, but on this screen, the "Show the price" button appeared.

After clicking to see the price, I clicked to buy it again (it was only a few ££...) and instead of a transaction page, it just said "Thanks for purchasing" and went back to the Play button

I'm stuck in a loop and I have tried a reboot, I've tried logging in and out etc but nothing works.

Can you please assist?

Hi,

Today the live services do have some issues with purchasing/redeeming/downloading content.

This was also the case yesterday but somehow it has reoccurred today.

There was a purchase and content usage alert up earlier, Does it work now? have you tried a different browser by chance ?

I would suggest trying a power cycle to try and resynchronize

The services are back up now and I'm still getting the same issue

Interestingly I've just found a message from 2015 with a key for Gears of War 2 that I got with the original purchase of Gears of War ultimate edition remaster, and when I try to register with THAT key it says duplicate key....

Can you please let me know what the next steps are as I'm spinning in circles here
