    Hi,

    First time posting on the forums - feel free to shift if I've put this in the wrong place. I've got a Xbox One S (500GB) with persistent issues loading games haven't managed to resolve. I could previously play the games (Xbox is about a year old - issue
    cropped up over the last couple of months)

    My two main games exhibiting issues are Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians. Halo: The Master Chief Collection gives me a persistent 0x8027025a error when I try to open it. Halo 5: Guardians does not present any error codes, when I trying
    to load it I get the initial splash screen for a little bit - then it drops me back to the main Xbox screen.

    Stuff I've done to try and resolve this:

    - Ensured everything is fully up to date (console + games)

    - Followed the official troubleshooting steps from here Error 8027025A | Xbox One Sign-in & App Error (checking Xbox Live is online & completing the power
    cycles of my Xbox)

    - Fully uninstalling & re-installing the games

    - Completed a "Reset and keep my games & apps"

    - Completed a "Reset and remove everything"

    - Tried connecting my Xbox One S to a different TV screen

    - Tried shifting one of the games to an external storage media and playing it from there (found this on a youtube video talking about the error code)

    I am a little stuck on what to try next?

    Above I've listed the main two games I got the Xbox for (I don't play often). Some other games / apps will run (i.e. Netflix app), others (i.e. Hydro Thunder) won't. Best guess on the difference of what will / won't work are things hooked into Xbox Live.

    Game taking too long to start

    I can't get FIFA15 to start. Says it is taking too long. Error code 0x8027025a.

    Have hard rebooted and cleared cache about 15 times now with no success. EA support says it's a Microsoft issue. Anyone else encountered this? Any ideas on how to resolve?

    Do you like the design?

    Yup, that's true. Whoever keeps saying the design should be changed should consider this. It WAS MADE TO RESOLVE THE HEATING ISSUES. Any more changes and it might make more issues. At least now the XB1 can run nicely. I mean, sc_shark in these forums said he ran his XB1 for 32 straight hours!! See? The design has purpose.

    same issue work fine since thursday 22 and now today afternoon got the error message 0x8027025a for live tv. come Microsoft please respond better we all spend $499 plus tax on this unit.

    why this happening can't do anything deleted my profile thinking there was an issue but wasn't tht plus a friend is having same issue if don't be resolved i doubt we play it ever

    Didn't resolve issue, here is how far I got:

    2.) Select System > Settings > Error Message "For some reason Settings took too long to start. (0x8027025a)."

    Hi there! When you mention restarting, did you do a hard reset of your console? It'd be good to know what else you've tried to be able to help you better.

    Generally hard resets fix most issues, and that particular error seems to have been resolved by others using a hard reset.

    Not sure if you've checked out this guide, but if you haven't it might be of help:

    Just bought XBOX One X. and getting 0x80a40019.

    Update from the Xbox Support twitter: the issue appears to have been resolved on Microsoft's end. I've verified that I'm not seeing 0x80a40019 or 0x8027025a in the initial system setup anymore. I can now add accounts and download games from the store.
