0x80150017 When trying to redeem Fallout 3 Code on XBOX One

I'm getting this error too. Just says "something went wrong" every time and gives that irrelevant code. I was on the phone to an xbox live representative and after talking for 48 minutes she simply said that she was unable to help me and directed me to help.bethesda.net
to get support from them. After navigating there the first thing I see is a message saying that xbox live deals with redemption codes, and that you must talk to them directly if the solution of changing the region to your own country's didn't work.

I am sick to DEATH of how downright impossible it is to get competent support from microsoft on any matter. I can't get online support because the website function for online chat never works; it takes you to a page where you are asked to type in your name
and information about your problem, but the boxes in which you type your name are always conveniently greyed out. So you click proceed anyway and hope it works. What does it tell you? Invalid name. Yeah, that name that it didn't allow you to type in, it's
invalid, so no online support for you! You sit on the phone for potentially hours talking to someone who can barely speak and understand english to achieve a whole load of nothing. This happens over and over. Finally you come to a "support" forum in your last
ditch efforts and post an exasperated plea for help, which will never be seen or replied to by any microsoft representative.

You have to redeem it online from the USA. It works.

Hello! I bought The consol with fallout 4 cd at the time fallout 4 was relesed and I got the code for fallout 3 with it. Fallout 3 is an xbox 360 game from The start could that be a problem trying to download to xbox one?

Makes no sence selling a box with fallout 4 to xbox one and a redeem code for fallout 3 to xbox 360 😑👈
