    0x80073d05 Error Code Xbox App PC


    November 18th, I tried updating MSFS 2020 and it would not install the update, it was stuck on the checking for updates screen.

    I uninstalled MSFS 2020 and tried to do a fresh reinstall. The install reached 100%, I received an error code 0x80073d05.

    I've looked up the error code online, tried multiple fixes and it never fixed my issue, I would appreciate the help.

    It's November 22nd and I've tried commands in Powershell, CMD, reinstalled Xbox/Microsoft Store, and probably more.

    I've been looking into this one and it is very strange as that code, on a PC, indicates a Store issue but not on the Xbox it seems

    Also interesting that the code isn't even listed on the Xbox codes page...surely they must have come across it before!!

    The upshot of this seems to be a full factory reset may be needed

    Hi there Jack welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Well, I suggest you try this:

    Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

    Open Accounts

    Click Sign-in Options

    Scroll down to Privacy

    Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

    Restart your PC!

    Fixed the issue after figuring it might be the files...

    %appdata%
    Local
    Package
    Renamed Microsoft.FlightSimulator_###########

    Let the install recreate another folder

    I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!
