0x80073cf9 error can't install Sea of Thieves

I'm on a Microsoft Windows 11 Home OS, 3 days before i tried installing the game(Sea of Thieves) on my laptop , on an external ssd , it started downloading and it stopped at 78% (propably cause my laptop went to sleepmode and the ssd locked) after that i resume the download and it was complited (windows showed me notification"installation complete") then i tried find the game but i didnt find it on pc folder or launch it from xbox app (it had intall option not launch) since then i have tried everything and still the download starts and stops immediately , then shows a 0x80073cf9 error. Can you help me please?

They way Microsoft Store/Xbox works is abysmal.

Have you tried installing the game via MS store? Kindly open the Microsoft Store, then click on the profile picture in the top right corner. A pop-up box will appear allowing you to sign out then once signed out, kindly sign in again using the account that has the game pass and should change the store account.

If that did not work, check if you have any pending updates using this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo... or select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates.

If there's nothing pending, kindly right-click the Start button on your taskbar, and then select Windows Terminal (Admin). In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

tried everything, im on latest release windows 11, i think the problem is with the corrupted files of the game and microsoft app (xbox app) files.

How are you?

Follow these steps, if one doesn't work, move on to the other.

1. Open Windows Update and look for updates, update everything, including optional updates. Restart to apply updates and try again.

2. Press Windows Key + i and go to apps, search for ''gaming services'' click ''advanced options'' and then ''terminate, repair and reset. Try installing the game again.

3. Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

“get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

“start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try installing any game again.
