My error code is 0x800704cf and wont work either.

Thank you for keeping us updated. Does this issue occur with other games or just Battlefield 1? We suggest toggling your router or gateway's UPnP. This can help with matchmaking issues. The way to toggle your UPnP is to log in to your router settings
and turn UPnP off. Once UPnP is turned off, you will need to power cycle your network. After the network comes back up, you must log in to your router settings again and turn UPnP on. The next step is to complete a power cycle on the network one last time.
You can power cycle your console once these steps have been completed and try the game again. The instructions on how to log in to your router and locate the UPnP option can be found in your router's manual or by contacting your internet service provider.
Be sure to let us know the results!

it was worse before i got a router that allowed me to enable UPnP so disabling it would just make it worse like it was before wouldn't it?

Yes I tried all that. And probably 10 minutes before I got this error message I had did a full power cycle and had just did weekly unplug of router and modem
