0x80070015 Error install games on Xbox Game Pass due to "storage has been disconnected"

This solved my problem..but WHY?

This happens with EVERY single install, but my storage is not being disconnected. I have to reboot and it will resume for a little then error out again.

I've had a similar situation to that i fixed it by, resetting my console ( hold down the console power button for 10 secs). It happened it again so i just uninstalled the game and reinstalled and that completely fixed it. So i would suggest trying to uninstall
and reinstall. If that doesn't work you should go to support.xbox.com and see if you can get a better answer on how to fix it. The way i fixed mine might not work for you. So if it doesn't work go there or maybe someone else can give you more info.

if anyone is getting this error 0x80070015and is running PowerISO, you need to disable any virtual drives. Start PowerISO, go to Tools > Virtual Drive > Set Number of Drives > Disable. This solved the problem for me.

Firstly please create a new thread so we can better help.

Secondly try plugging the HDD into a different USB port, and also try installing directly from your Xbox instead of via the app.
