    0x80070005 install ERROR on Game Pass for PC "Something unexpected happened"?


    Hi all.

    Getting this error 0x80070005 on game pass- but only for certain games (this error is installing Injustice 2, but also some other games).

    The error "Something unexpected happened" below.

    Some games work fine, others do not. The error happens at the start of an install.

    Have tried Uninstalls, reinstalls, WSRESET, FixWin, Various other powershell commands, different drives with lots of space, changed privacy settings. My account is admin. etc etc. Have now run out of ideas.

    Followed various other threads with people seeming to have similar problems but no solutions I can see.

    Any ideas helpful ppl?! Much appreciated!! Guessing I'm not the only one??!

    Tried to delete and install project wingman, few seconds after the installation began it gave me error "0x00000001 something unexpected happened"

    I got similar issue, time ago... I've solved with a brand new installation of windows 10...

    The only solution I found was to reset Windows. I chose the "keep my files" option, and that still did it, however, I wouldn't so I was happy about having to reinstall a bunch of drivers, certain programs, retweak all my settings, etc.
